Emerging stylist Anita-Hosanna Kangabe is an archetypal Aries: she exudes passion for what she loves. This Vancouver raised artist first fell in love with the visual arts early on in life and later fell for fashion, developing an intricate eye for style. The craft really came together while working along side Canadian publication KROWD Magazine and being part of the Rent frock Repeat stylist team. These experiences were the perfect jump off to gain experience dressing the general public and to develop skills in visual merchandising.
She has since completed a range of individual projects, styled two music videos, and nine published fashion editorials. Currently completing her Masters of Social Work, the stylist is interested in questions of Fashion Activism, Fashion Psychology and Art Therapy. She enjoys bringing both social justice and fashion together through events and creative photoshoots. February 2018 marks Anita's first major styling venture, partnering with the Bayshore Shopping Centre to produce and style Inhale Excel, an interactive and empowering fashion panel with entrepreneur and celebrity guests founded by Gwen Madiba.
Anita loves working as a stylist because of the way it combines business and art. Being able to meet and collaborate with new creative people is a perk of the job she truly loves. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
